Our vision is to meet physical needs as an overflow and extension of our compassion for every person’s spiritual need. As we engage each nation and people group we will seek to understand the ways we may practically engage on behalf of and as an introduction to the Gospel. In 2013 we undertook a series of projects in Kenya, East Africa. The projects were concentrated in two locations; the Kibera slum in Nairobi and the tiny community of Muhuru Bay in the western part of Kenya. Since that time we have worked to support construction of a school with over 200 students and 15 staff. The school, Captivate Christian Academy, was rated as one of the best in southwestern Kenya by Duke University's W.I.S.E.R. program based upon standardized test results. In addition to the school, we have helped with livestock programs, a community market, food, and medical supplies. Our partners provide us the opportunity to do so many amazing things as we share love with our friends in East Africa. |
